Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por finalidade verificar possíveis interfaces existentes entre a arquitetura prisional e a privação de liberdade com o intuito de recuperação social. Trata-se de uma análise de discursos, de caráter eminentemente questionadora, de modo a discutir os fundamentos que sustentam o sistema prisional de forma crítica. A metodologia utilizada reunirá pesquisa bibliográfica, estudos de casos, análises de projetos arquitetônicos, bem como entrevistas pessoais com profissionais relacionados ao tema. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

The main purpose of the present research is looking for possible interfaces between the prisonal architecture, as the place where criminals are punished, and the fact of being emprisoned, especially related to the ideals of social recovery. It tries to make a discourse analysis in order to verify the basis of the prisonal system in a critical way. Among the used methodology, there are bibliographical research, case studies, analysis of architectural projects, and interviews with different kinds of professionals related to the topic.
