O espetáculo cênico e o espírito caleidoscópico

Abstract

Esta pesquisa visa identificar a presença do espírito caleidoscópico no Teatro e suas ressonâncias estéticas na obra teatral contemporânea, a partir da análise do brinquedo óptico inventado em 1816 pelo físico escocês David Brewster, dos princípios que governam sua dinâmica interna e de algumas encenações desenvolvidas no século XX até a atualidade. Também busca observar a ocorrência de um redirecionamento do olhar ante as performances desenvolvidas pelas formas teatrais caleidoscópicas. Por fim, apresenta o processo de elaboração do projeto (Escavações) No Jardim de Mônica, uma experiência teatral caleidoscópica que consistiu na realização de quatro montagens cênicas inspiradas na peça No Jardim de Mônica, da peruana Sara Joffré. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT

This research aims at identifying the presence of the kaleidoscopic spirit in the Theatre and how it aesthetically resonates in contemporary theatrics. The research starting point is the analysis of the optical toy invented by the Scottish physicist David Brewster, the principles governing its internal dynamics and some staging performances developed from the 20th century until now. It also tries to observe the occurrence of a redirecting of one's glance before performances developed by kaleidoscopic theatrical forms. Finally, it presents the elaboration of project (Escavações) No Jardim de Monica, a kaleidoscopic theatrical experience which consisted of the realization of four plays inspired by No Jardim de Monica by the Peruvian playwright Sara Joffré.
