Abstract: "This book tries to summarize and assess trends in the development of qualitative research in Germany and Brazil. Thereby, we try to understand and compare the particular developments of qualitative educational research in Brazil and Germany on the one hand. On the other hand different methodological reflections and research examples demonstrate, what new challenges qualitative research is facing at the moment and how cross-cultural investigations and cooperations can contribute to broadening our understanding and to advance methods in terms of cultural limitations and specifications."
