| dc.description.abstract | Esta tese constitui uma investigação antropológica sobre o universo da tecelagem manual em Brasília. A pesquisa realiza uma incursão sobre a tradição têxtil doméstica e como se dá a sua reprodução cultural em Brasília e na região do entorno, em especial, nas cidades de Pirenópolis, Olhos D'agua e Unaí. Analiso as transformações que esta tradição têxtil vem sofrendo com o processo de modernização e procuro investigar se além da tradição doméstica é possível identificar em Brasília uma tradição têxtil candanga com uma identidade e características próprias. Objetiva-se construir um entendimento sobre o universo das tecelãs de Brasília e investigar quais as motivações e significados que envolvem o tecer para estas mulheres. Discute-se, também, a atuação dos agentes de fomento, a Secretaria do Trabalho - DF e o SEBRAE - DF, e como estes órgãos constróem as suas ações nas políticas de fomento no campo do artesanato, em particular, no campo da tecelagem manual. | en |

| dc.description.abstract1 | This thesis consists of an anthropological investigation about the world of manual weaving in Brasilia. The research takes place in the domestic textile tradition and how it manifests itself culturally in Brasilia and thesurrounding areas, especially the cities of Pirenópolis, Olhos D'agua and Unaí. The thesis analyses the transformations of this textile tradition hasundergone with the process of modernisation and looks to investigate and seeif beyond the domestic textile tradition there is a candango textile tradition in Brasilia, with its own identity and characteristics. The objective is to construct an understanding about Brasilia's world of weaving and investigate as to what are the motivations and meanings involved in the weaving for the women concerned. The thesis also examines the actions of the promotion agents the Secretary of Employment-DF and of Sebrae-DF and how these state bodies behave within the politics of training in the artisan area, specifically in the area of manual weaving. | - |
